The Canoise

"Once we discovered we were not going to be stars, we started to play for fun."

And that is the driving force behind the success of the CANOISE. Since 1966, when a couple of St. Cloud State college students sat down to talk about forming a band, the CANOISE have been entertaining packed houses everywhere across the USA and across an ocean or two. Shown in this 1988 photo at left are long-standing members Larry Suess, Pat Curto, Neal Dunning, and (kneeling) Bob Coates.

Canoise 1998. Same four guys, same great sound, and their music just doesn't age.
Today, with the additional charm and great voice of Sue Newton, the Canoise takes one more step closer to passing the half century milestone of solid entertainment.
